Those with a technical interest in the themes of the conference must register in one of the applicable categories (full, student or retiree). |

All prices are quoted in Swiss Franks (CHF). The actual price will be set and paid in US dollars. The US dollar prices for early registration will be set by the exchange rate on 24 March 2013 and held constant for the early registration period. The US dollar prices for registration after 3 May 2013 will be set by the exchange rate on 3 May 2013 and held constant until the close of the conference.
Conference registration is now open. Please register through the PaperCept Conference Management System.
Methods of payment/confirmation
Payment must be made by credit card. Payment and registration confirmation will be provided upon registration by the PaperCept Conference Management System. A hard copy receipt will be included in the registration package, to be collected at the registration desk during the conference.
Invitation letters for visa or other uses
Confirmation letters for all authors of accepted papers who register for the conference will be issued by the PaperCept Conference Management System. This letter can be used to obtain a travel visa if required.
Letters confirming registration without an accepted paper may be issued by the conference organizers on an individual basis, after a participant has registered for the conference. Please contact the Registration Chair if you require a confirmation letter.

If an author has uploaded a paper using his/her registration, the registration will not be refunded, even if the paper is withdrawn. Those who register and later find they cannot attend the conference may request a refund of the advance registration fee(s).
Cancellations and requests for refunds should be made via an email to the Registration Chair. Refunds will be processed via the PaperCept Conference Management System and will appear as a credit on the credit card used for the original registration.
Requests before 3 May, 2013: For cancellation and refund requests received before the Advance Registration deadline (3 May, 2013), 90% of the fee will be refunded. This does not apply if the registration has been used to upload a paper.
Requests between 4 May and 30 June, 2013: For cancellation and refund requests received during this period, 50% of the fee will be refunded. This does not apply if the registration has been used to upload a paper.
Requests after 30 June, 2013: There will be no refunds for requests received after 30 June, 2013.
Workshop cancellation: The conference organizers reserve the right to cancel workshops if insufficient pre-registrations are received. In the event of a workshop cancellation, a full refund of workshop fees will be provided to attendees who have already registered at the time the workshop is cancelled.
Unexpected cancellation of the conference: The ECC13 organizing committee reserves the right to cancel ECC13 without notice or compensation in the event of force majeure cases (for example, but not limited to acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood or terrorist attacks). In such cases, the organizers of ECC13 are freed of all responsibility.
Limitation of liability of the ECC13 organizers: In the event of it being impossible to carry out the ECC13 for force majeure cases, the organizers of ECC13 shall only be obliged to reimburse the payments received subject to deduction of any costs that have been incurred in preparing the event. This liability only extends to the payments made directly to the ECC13 and not to payments made by the attendees to hotels or airlines.
